Easy Chocolate Mayonnaise Cake
10 minutes preparation - 35 minutes cooking
Serves 8 to 10
Butter, to grease
285g self-raising flour
1½tsp baking powder
200g Le Mesuriers Classic Mayonnaise
4tbsp cocoa powder
237ml boiling water
1tsp vanilla essence
1 x tub ready-made chocolate frosting
1- Preheat the oven to 180°C/350°F/Gas Mark 4 and grease and line a loose bottomed cake tin.
2- Mix the flour, sugar, baking powder and Le Mesuriers Classic Mayonnaise together with an electric mixer.
3- Dissolve the cocoa in the boiling water and stir into the mixture along with the vanilla essence.
4- Bake in the oven for 30 to 35 minutes, then allow to cool in the tin before removing.
5- Ice with the frosting before slicing and serving.
